Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor who is famous for his role on the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. He identified his interest towards acting from his days in college and studied acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he's appeared on film and television however it is his roles on the smaller screen that gave him popularity and much fans. This is not surprising since the actor has managed to grab the attention of viewers by playing characters who are on either sides of the legal system. On his debut TV show in which he played the role of a killer. Later, he was able to play the part of an NYPD Detective. He's been nominated numerous times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his smaller screen performance. The most striking of his face features is thought to have been the piercing blue eyes which have allowed him to portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
